What we have here, I think, is a design study for the next Grand Cherokee. The T-top may see production in some form, but I doubt that the missing B pillar and the open cargo area will. I wouldn't mind seeing the Grand go back to a solid front axie.

Pushing the limits of how we can build the biggest, widest, heaviest, vehicle with the least amount of interior space, cargo room, fuel economy and visibilty. Sweet.

There's a market for this but not a Gladiator?

It looks like the ultra flashy but highly impractical Isuzu Vehicross.

Lol - i agree.

Waste of time and resources. All these people arguing about moving with the times, but must Jeep have something that looks like a Hot Wheels car? Why don't they concentrate on making the best offroad family of cars, not the shiniest and ugliest?

Could we be seeing a top similar to this on the next gen Liberty?

I agree, I would like to see the GC go back to solid front axles.

I would hope a vehicle this size would fit 5 and not be a four seater. Also, they could do away with the flashy wheels in any possible production model.

The narrow windows do remind me of a (dare I say) Hummer. They would need to revise those, in my opinion, for a production run of this concept.

People who are already thrashing this vehicle because their beloved car/truck hasn't yet been produced--it's a CONCEPT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe a few more explanations marks will drive home the point!!!!!! C-O-N-C-E-P-T.

I know it's a concept. All the more reason to opine about the direction the concept is going before it becomes reality.

Don't get your heart set on solid axles for the Grand. DCX won't go back to the days when every single article about the grand would contain something to the effect of "The ride isn't as good as x because of the crude solid axles" Which is just like the journalistic crutch of "Americans all have bad memories of diesels"

No they don't. Almost no one remembers anything about diesels or what kind of suspension their SUV has.

The truth is 98% of people and auto journalists would not have these opinions about the solid axles or diesels if they weren't just parroting "conventional wisdom" over and over again.
