Grand CherokeeAutoweek Grabs Camo'd Shot of New Grand Cherokee

Not too much to see here, but AutoWeek did capture a heavily camouflaged photo of the next-generation Grand Cherokee that is due to debut next month at the New York Auto Show.

Anyway, what does cat our eye is the way the roofline takes a dive as it heads toward the back of the vehicle--a sign that the new Grand Cherokee will adopt a bit more of an aerodynamic look. The new Grand Cherokee rides on a new platform--shared with the Mercedes-Benz M class--that was developed with Daimler before the companies divorced last year.

Looking at the side profiles, I don't think the roof line dives so much as the waist line slants up towards the back.

I think the front and rear optional tube bumpers are a nice touch! Looks like someone at Jeep is having some fun!
