On the day that Chrysler announced that their April, 2009 sales are about half of what their April, 2008 sales were, there was a bit more downer news: Tom LaSorda (no, not that one), Vice Chairman and President of Chrysler, announced his retirement effective immediately. I'm not sure if his retirement was part of the Fiat "alliance", the bankruptcy, the crappy sales number, a combination of all of the above, or something else.
Did I mention sales are still in the toilet? The Jeep Wrangler is one of the (very) few bright spots - sales were up 7% from April of 2008.

If this isn't proof enough that Jeep only needs one model, I don't know what is. You can have three variations of the Wrangler - a 2dr, 4dr, and a truck - heck maybe even a 4dr truck! Give all of them them a handful of engine options including hybrid and you'd be good to go.
