Promotional Video For 2011 Grand Cherokee

Chrysler recently posted this short promotional video for the upcoming all-new 2011 Grand Cherokee.

The updated Grand Cherokee has been receiving some positive buzz and Chrysler is counting on it as one of the vehicle to lift it out of the doldrums.

Home away from home Joined: 2002/3/22 From: Posts: 247	Re: Promotional Video For 2011 Grand Cherokee We have an 09 Liberty and we love it...Its a tough little truck that is definitely an upgrage from the GJ 'Girl Jeep' first gen Liberty. I don't know what will happen to the Liberty, I have heard 2012, it will end production, but mabye it will be merged with the IVECO Massif, and the Liberty will have an International Market...We will see, But for now, we are nothing but impressed with the Jeep Engineering of the Liberty.

This and the various Wrangler models are really all that Jeep needs in it's lineup. These are the models that Jeep needs to continue to focus on. Let's see some diesel / diesel hybrid options added to both and it would be even better. One of these and a 2-door JK in my garage next Christmas would make me oh so happy. Santa, are you listening -- I am getting my wish list in a year early.

There are those of us who don't want/need the Wrangler and the new JGC is just not practical for us. We really aren't interested in the crossovers (unless they had a 6 cyl.) like the Patriot/Compass. Our 09 Liberty falls neatly in between these groups. Besides, it is a very nice vehicle.

Of course I saw nothing that could not be easily driven in a 2 wd car, but maybe they didn't want to risk damage on their only prototype. I like the concept of an SUV that can do challenging 4WD trails, like the Rubicon. Wranglers are nice, but I hate the limited visibility on the right lower part of the windshield. I don't need or want a fancy pants super delux wussmobile SUV with soft leather all over, as it just gets scratched and poked with my camping stuff, Mtn Bike, ski poles and other outdoor gear. And I want really good fuel mileage! Diesel or Diesel/Electric Hybrid would be great. Otherwise I'll just keep driving the XJ.
