JpMagazine.com has some nice pics of a Jeep concept built by Mopar Underground that was spotted in Moab, Utah.
It appears to be built on a military J8 chassis but has 37- or 38-inch BFG MTs, Dynatrac axles front and rear, an Advance Adapters Atlas transfer case, Hutchinson double beadlocks, a tuned 2.8L VM Motori diesel engine and some pretty sweet body mods. It's got styling from an the old Kaiser M-715. There's a real truck bed and a one-off grille and hood It also has a couple inches chopped out of the windshield and a full convertible fabric top.

More Importantly, What will be Jeep's answer to the MINI Beachcomber?
I do think this concept will make it to production, but I think it will be on a heavy duty Dakota Frame with solid axles, not on the J-8 platform. Here is my Conspiracy Theory for the future Jeep Lineup... Wrangler--2 DR 4DR 2DR LWB (JT/Scrambler) Dakota-Based Jeep Pickup (Better be the NuKizer styling) Liberty replaced/Blended with IVECO (Fiat) MASSIF platform, this will be the 3rd row model for Jeep, although not as roomy as a commander. Cherokee--We already know where this one is going... Yet-to-be-named 4 seat 4cyl 4wd Pihv-Make it at least equal to the TJ in capability. |

Well if you like it tell Jeep. If you don't , be nice, and give us girlie-men our day in the sun. Here is my letter to Chrysler to encourage production.
Dear Chrysler-Mark Allen, First off congrats on the Nukizer 715. Jeep has needed a pickup for sometime and the Nukizer has clearly shown that Jeep has had the right truck all along. The Senior Series Jeeps are a timeless bodystyle. J Series is to Jeep as F150 is to Ford. I sincerely hope that the following quote from Mark Allen concerning the Nukizer 715 is 100% deception. “We're not talking production intent,” said Mark Allen, head of Jeep Design. “It's just, the world's a better place because we built this thing.” If this statement is true then the decision to not build the Nukizer Jeep pickup should then go down in history right next to Ford's decision too build the Mustang II and then wait 40 years to give people what they wanted all along. Simply put Mr Allen, if I don't see a production model Nukizer in Detroit next January I hope you get fired. Keep up the great work! ![]() |

I like the M-715 styling---Would be nice to have the J-10 back, even it is on a Dakota Frame. Chrysler could go in one of 2 directions....If they build it on the Jeep platform, they are just splitting up a proven formula, but offering more options...If they put it on a Dakota Frame, they are selling more of that platform, but somewhat diluting the Jeep name, but they have already done that anyway with the Compass, so a DAKOTA would be a step up in the manly man dept, and a step away from the girlie-girl dept...

I've been looking at J-10s, Gladiators (a few Willys pickups, too) and M715s for the last month, trying to tell myself that I don't need to buy one no matter how badly I want one. I would love to see this thing in production.
Unfortunately, it'll never effin' happen… |

This is a completely awesome rig!!! Too bad we will NEVER see anything like it. If Jeep ever does put out another pickup it is surely going to be a Dodge with a Jeep badge. Why do they tease us with this?

Absolutely fantastic! Would buy one in a heartbeat! They nailed it, right down to the throwback grille. Wow.
...and how about that diesel?? We've been asking for one since the '70's. It's nice to know at least SOMEONE at Jeep still "gets it". |
