Hollister State Park, southwest of San Francisco, is about as rugged as the City by the Bay is refined. I took a deep breath as I climbed into the passenger seat of the Jeep Grand Cherokee, buckled up, and we began snaking our way through a series of deeply-rutted trails that threw up big dust clouds at every turn.
