The Toledo Blade, the hometown newspaper for a large number of Jeep assembly workers just posted a couple of pics of the supposed 2011 restyled Wrangler. The pics are claimed to be from within the factory, show a color-matched hardtop roof on a silver Wrangler. From the story:
The photos — which appear to have been taken recently by an employee in Chrysler's Wrangler plant at its Toledo Assembly Complex and posted on a public site accessed by The Blade — would mark the new models' first public appearance.
In its five-year business plan unveiled in November, Chrysler indicated that it intended to mark the Jeep brand's 70th anniversary in 2011 with commemorative models. The company also indicated it would refresh the Wrangler's interior this year, and its exterior in 2011. However, no images of the newly-styled vehicles have been released by the automaker.

UPDATE 2: Thanks to one of our longtime readers, Mark, for sending us links to the 2011 Jeep Wrangler Fleet Brochure and the Wrangler page on the Chrysler Fleet web site.

They keep getting cushier every year. I got really turned off when they started offering 2 wheel drive models, now heated seats!?

On the Wrangler Unlimited photo from the Toledo Blade after looking at it a little closer, does the front bumper kind of wrap into the front fender?
Looks like you can only see part of it. |

I am not liking the new interior. It looks like a step back rather than forward. I really think the 2010 is far nicer, the new one looks like something out of 80's or 90's in a bad way.

Heated seat kits are available for the Wrangler through www.MOPAR.com.
3.6L 280HP Phoenix (now called Pentastar) next year for Wrangler. As Paris once told me, "That's HUGE!" No plans for a Jeep diesel, yet... recent US emissions laws are way too restictive for most diesels (including the 2.8 VM Motori) and as long as gas prices aren't ridiculous (and diesel prices in many states ARE) most OEMs don't think they will sell well in the US... especially since they have to charge a few thousand more on the sticker... ![]() Here's an interesting article: Diesels in 2011 . Except for the usual pricey diesel options for full-size HD pickups, the only diesels available in the US in 2011 are offered from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Volkwagen. ![]() Just as an afterthought... Dear Mike Manley, It sure seems like some of those small Volkwagen diesels would be a good fit for the Jeep Willys Concept . Hmmmmmm... ![]() |

I was REALLY hoping the Wrangler would get that 2.8L turbo-diesel that they put in the Kaiser pickup. I'll just keep waiting...
One more thing - why is it that they can put remote start, electric windows, leather seats (??), and other features in a Wrangler, but NO HEATED SEATS? That's the one option I would have loved while riding top-down on cool evenings. Jeep designers just don't get it! At least the latest ads I've seen on TV don't tell me that they "ride" Jeeps. Finally! Why don't they listen to their customers?? |

Acc. to what I see in the Fleet Brochure, the color-matched tops are available only on the Sahara. I'm dying to see that in Detonator Yellow, Mango Tango & Sahara Tan. Very cool, but not for everyone.
The 2-toned Black/Dark Saddle-colored interiors are available only on the Sahara & Rubicon. I'm glad to see U can still get a stripper with hand-cranked windows! Well have to wait & see if the regular production brochure matches the details in the Fleet Brochure... usually does... |

I kind of like the contrasting colors of the current JK, but the same color body/top isn't too bad. It may grow on me.
