From cars.com's Kicking Tires blog , it looks like the Grand Cherokee is getting a price cut:
The popular fourth-generation 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee sees a price cut of $3,220 for the base Laredo trim when it goes on sale next month. It will now start at $26,995. The 2012 Grand Cherokee also gets some new powertrain tech that should increase fuel economy for both V-6- and V-8-equipped models.
The post continues on to say the price of the Wrangler will be staying about the same...

If the GC was being sold next to the Nitro, this move makes sense (since the Nitro is slated to leave the line-up).
But how is this going to impact Liberty MSRP & sales #s ? I'm confused. So, now a 4x2 Compass --A COMPASS!-- costs ~$20K (with dest chg) and a GC costs only ~7K more! Gee, let me think... ![]() |
