Car and Driver: "It might not have reached a Bentley level of poshness, but the interior now favors dash wipes over garden hoses."
Ok, I guess this is desirable in the Sahara model. But, NOT for the Rubicon. Wait a minute while I get out my handywipe to clean a spec on the dashboard... The Rubicon is supposed to be a Utility Vehicle NOT a limousine. If you want a limousine, get the Sahara. RUBICON: top of line - rugged utility Vehicle. Designed for ultimate off-road performance but capable of being used on-road. Minimal creature comforts. Expected to be exposed to harsh conditions. (use hose to clean dashboard) SAHARA: top of line – rugged show car. Designed for reliable, occasional, off road performance but primarily an on-road car. Family oriented creature comforts. Expected to have MINIMAL expose to harsh conditions. (use handywipe to clean dashboard) What is so hard to understand? ![]() |

Motor Trend sez: 0-60 in 6.7sec for a manual shift 2012 Wrangler. And to think my '83 Firebird with a V8 needed ~9sec.
I know we're more about torque than 0-60 times, but that's a pretty good indicator that the engine won't dissappoint on the low end. So, who's gonna be the first to use all of that 285HP to take this brick to top speed? ![]() |
