No real news here - just an amusing photo we grabbed from that the Chrysler Group media guys shared with us.

It seems the Land Rover had gotten stuck in some thick Bulgarian mud during a recent event in that country...

Hmmm, air suspension! That would make it a British low-rider, then, wouldn't it?

LOL. No, the air suspension won't let it drop that low. In 4x4 applications it is used to get more ground clearance, not drop it to the ground. But, I am sure you knew that.

Does anyone know what the ground clearance is on the LR3? I saw one in a parking lot the other day, and the ground clearance for the rear suspension looks very low.

The LR3 is available with an adjustable height air suspension. This allows it to sit low in the parking lot for easy exiting and entering. A flip of a dial raises the vehicle up for off-roading.

This is a funny pic. Everyone who offroads gets stuck atleast once. it looks like the guy in the Land rover tried to go arround the mud and got stuck any way. it looks like he sunk fast because there are is no mud on the sides of the LR. the landrover's automatic-everything could have made the LR more stuck. in the LR you cant put it into low range, or controll the 4wd system directly. you must select the "mode" that you want which depends on what hind of terrain you are traveling in and the computer modulates the engine, drivetrain,4wd system fot you. the GC has some gadgets and some automation but it still requires a good deal of input from the driver and it gives better feedback to the driver. a good driver will always be better that complete automation.
