|One of our readers recently sent me this link to the official National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash test results for the 2007 Jeep Commander. |
While the vehicle wasn't tested for side-crash survivability, it did score 5 (out of 5) stars for both the driver and passenger in the front-crash test. There is also a link to the short, 6-second video of the front-crash test as well.
The Commander was also rated for "chance of rollover in single-vehicle crash" - it scored what looks to be about 23% (3 stars) - right in the middle of the range for sport utility vehicles.
The only other 2007 models that have been rated are the Grand Cherokee (5 stars) and the Liberty (mostly 5 stars).
