Consumer Reports Unimpressed with 2012 Compass and Patriot

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Consumer Reports magazine is "unimpressed" at the "mediocre" 2012 Jeep Compass and Patriot.
For months car shoppers have heard that Chrysler has redesigned, re-engineered or at least touched up its vehicles to make them more appealing and competitive. But are they worth buying?

Well, the answer varies widely from one model to the next, according to Consumer Reports, a magazine known for no-nonsense assessments of new vehicles. In a broad review of Chrysler’s lineup released today, the magazine’s car testers said Chrysler, which includes the Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands, has improved, but still has a long way to go.


But testers were “unimpressed” by the Chrysler 200, Dodge Avenger and Journey, and Jeep Compass and Patriot, Compass, Journey, and Patriot, summing them up as “mediocre.”
